U.S. Army and Aetos Systems Partnership Agreement

Posted on:

Huntsville, AL. — The U.S. Army and Aetos Systems are scheduled to sign a partner-ship agreement September 19, 2019, as part of the U.S. Army Partnership for Youth Success (PaYS) program at 2:00 p.m. at 4747 Bob Wallace Ave. Huntsville, AL 35805.

The PaYS Program is a strategic partnership between the Army and a cross section of private industry, academia and state and local public institutes. The U.S. Army PaYS Program guarantees Soldiers two job interview and possible employment after their ser-vice in the Army. The PaYS Program provides America’s youth with the unique oppor-tunity to simultaneously serve their country and prepare for their future.

The PaYS program is designed to help Soldiers prepare for a career after the Army by connecting them with employers who understand the skills, discipline and work ethic that military service members bring to a business. This program is part of a long-term U.S. Army effort to help Soldiers forge professional relationships with businesses and encourage business owners to look to the Army as a plentiful and reliable recruiting source. Since PaYS began in 2000, more than 858 employers have partnered with the program.

Members of the media who wish to cover the ceremony should RSVP to Mr. William Skelton, Advertising and Public Affairs Chief, Montgomery Army Recruiting Battalion at (334) 551-3228 or William.b.skelton2.civ@mail.mil. Aetos Systems, Inc. a leading IT and Engineering Services government contracting company today announced the appointment of John “JD” Mauldin as its President. The appointment comes on the back of another strong year in which the company experienced continued growth and successfully graduated the Small Business Administration’s 8(a) Program. Mr. Mauldin, former High-Performance Computing Program Manager for SAIC is a seasoned leader with a proven track record of leading large technically focused organizations and accelerating their innovation and growth. We are excited about the opportunities this, and his other experiences, bring to the future growth opportunities of Aetos.

Mr. Mauldin has held additional high-profile positions throughout his career. Prior to SAIC, he served as Operations Director for CSC’s High-Performance Computing Center of Excellence. Earlier, Mr. Mauldin served as Chief Operating Officer and VP of Technology Development for Sword Microsystems and Division Director for Nichols Research Corporation. Mr. Mauldin is a graduate of Mississippi State University with degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.

“Aetos is fast maturing as a larger small business and must transform their business models to support this growth and next phase of business operations. The way they engage with customers, their employees and their community must grow with them. Aetos was quick to recognize this opportunity and prepare for the transition in order to continue to deliver on the superior service and promises they have made to their customers and employees. I’m excited to have the opportunity to build on the company’s explosive growth and look forward to further innovating and redefining the future,” said Mr. Mauldin.

“With more than 3 decades of experience leading high performing organizations at SAIC and CSC, Mr. Mauldin has the knowledge, business acumen, and leadership skills that will help Aetos thrive,” said Donna Coleman, Aetos CEO. “I’m excited to have an executive of his caliber at the helm during this pivotal stage of Aetos’ growth.”

Founder Donna Coleman remains as Chief Executive Officer. She will continue to actively advise the corporate management team focusing on corporate growth and strategy. Ms. Coleman will also continue her active involvement and advocacy in the local and national small business community. “Founding Aetos and having the chance to work hand in hand with my husband John Coleman to build and work with such a great team has been one of the most incredible and rewarding experiences of my career,” said Coleman. “Together, we set out to build an organization that was focused on Servant Leadership and providing superior services to our customers and employees while also giving back to our community and we feel we have been successful in doing just that. I’m delighted to hand over the role of President to an executive of Mr. Mauldin’s experience to help us achieve the next stage of exponential growth.” said Coleman.

Silver Snoopy Award

Posted on:

Congratulations to Fred Kepner on our OHC contract for receiving a Silver Snoopy Award from NASA in July. The Silver Snoopy is a prestigious and highly coveted award. From NASA:

"Of all the SFA Awards, the Silver Snoopy best symbolizes the intent and spirit of Space Flight Awareness. An astronaut always presents the Silver Snoopy because it is the astronauts' own award for outstanding performance, contributing to flight safety and mission success. Fewer than 1 percent of the aerospace program workforce receive it annually, making it a special honor to receive this award.

The award is a sterling silver Snoopy lapel pin that has flown on a Space Shuttle mission, plus a certificate of appreciation and commendation letter for the employee, both signed by the astronaut."

Fred received his award from astronaut Shannon Walker
